As the 2022 year ends, it is important to look back and reflect upon what the year meant for so many students. So much happened during this year, the return of the legendary Oyster Bake, many classes returning to full capacity and so much more. For each and every student on Campus, their college experience is one that they have never before had been able to experience. 2022 was a major year for so many people, so it is important to reflect upon on as the year comes to an end.

For junior international global studies & political science major Sebastian Hernandez Soihit, he states this about 2022: “I can best describe 2022 as “Fast and Furious”. I transitioned into St Mary’s this year and got to work with incredible students and faculty that made the time go by in a blink. A very intense year, but an outstandingly rewarding one as well.”

For junior accounting and data analytics major Noel Casino, he had this to say: “To me, 2022 is the start of coming back to school fully in person. From adapting to virtual sessions to coming back to the classrooms, it was definitely a challenge for many students. However, I believe that this has brought the St. Mary’s community together as we return to school and have a stronger sense of whatit means to be a St. Mary’s student. With the year coming to an end, I hope that we can continue to strive for a more interconnected community as we face a new year.”
